Mt. Major (1,780ft)
Trail: Boulder Loop (Orange)
Elevation Gain: 1,100ft
Distance: 3.4 miles roundtrip
Difficulty: Easy to Moderate
4th time’s a charm! There's a reason they call this trail "Boulder Loop!" I had never taken this orange-blazed trail so it was treat to hike. The lower portion of the trail is wide and mostly a Class 1 trail with a final steep pitch to the flat topped summit. Not much views of the lake area. The summit was windy and cold. But it was a good day especially since I got to ogle and scramble over hundreds of boulders along the trail! Enjoy a few photos that I took along the Boulder Loop Trail.
